Revised Form W-2 for employers - The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) adds a new reporting requirement aimed at improving health care transparency and cost awareness by requiring employers to report the value of employees' health benefits on Form W-2's. Revised July 2010
Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP- New Federal Requirement) - Federal law now requires that all employers with a group health plan notify each employee of the availability of Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) subsidies for group health plan premiums. Employers must notify all employees, not just employees electing group coverage through their employers no later than May 1, 2010, and annually thereafter.
